Welcome to Crucket!

After a couple of years posting at Mike on Cricket, it is now time for me to strike out on my own, make my own mark, build my own empire. So here it is, my new blog:

CRUCKET

So what can you expect at Crucket? Well, more of the same you were getting from me at Mike’s – half-informed, half-arsed half-analysis/half-flippancy, posted irregularly, un-proofread. Always about cricket, mostly about New Zealand. Blindly parochial, optimistic beyond all reason. Premium blog material.

I’m also hoping to work on the design of the blog over time, part of the reason for shifing from Blogger to WordPress. Maybe I’ll also get to add some functions to the blog to help us follow the cricket in New Zealand.

So thanks for visiting. I hope you’ll hang out.

Cheers Damith. That’s very prompt of you :)

I see that Chinaman designed Cricket w/ Balls’ latest look. I have mocked up my design in Inkscape and am going to start marking it up in HTML/CSS. Then I have to convert it to WordPress. So I’m a way of yet.

No worries mate. Bit of hard yakka like I was doing at Mike’s and the new blog will be sweet as.

    Cheers Legs.

Fingers crossed that Mike gets back into it eh.

Nice one Ben, I’ve bunged you on the blogroll on my site.

I changed from blogger to hosted site / wordpress over about 5 days last summer – it shouldn’t have taken that long :) Took me a little while to get me head around CSS etc also!

  • Ben Says:

    Thanks Richard.

Five days for a website is very impressive. I suspect it’s more likely to be closer to 5 weeks for me.

Looking the goods already Mike, top effort in going solo.

I eagerly await more choice dis-envowelled updated from EnZed.

You’re going to have to find a new joke now the hint of homo reference “Mike on Ben” has gone…

Ah I was learning the whole lot – but I didn’t too toooooo much to the existing wpress design (Tarski). Just tweaking text / link / heading colors, adding a header and a few other bits and pieces.

5 days spent on my spelling would be a better investment of time, to be honest.

    Cheers Moses…I think.

You’ll think of something I’m sure. You Aussies have never been short of jokes for kiwis.

How long did it take you to become a master in Photoshop Richard?

Moses, the thing I’ll miss about the passing of the “Ben on Mike on” routine is the comments praising Mike for Ben making a good point.

It was bloody confusing in the tipping comp too.

LB, I mostly use PowerPoint. Don’t tell anyone.

Ben, this book was rilly handy:
