More India for longer

I’ve updated the schedule to include the changes to the Indian tour. I hope I have all the details correct. Below, I have tried to show the relevant changes, with the old schedule first, then the new schedule with all changes shown in bold (except the numbering of the matches).

With 10 internationals, the India tour is now the marquee series of the Black Caps season. And with some decent weather, let’s hope it gives us some more decisive results.

Napier’s ended up with a bumper season really.

Not bad for a shitty little ground with bad drainage that’s in a half-demolished state.

Good sunshine hours might have played in its favour when when getting that extra test.

…and the fact that University Oval drained like a sponge during the Windies test.

I guess that since there are only 4 test venues at the moment, and 2 of them already had tests in the series NZC weren’t burdened with having too many options.

It’ll rain though. Hawkes Bay formers must love international cricket in Napier.

Oh we are waiting for the series in NZ. I do hope it will be a good one with lotsa sunshine. What is the official season going to be in NZ then? Will it be summer?

Great to hear that the tour will be popular in India.

It should be fairly sunny. The weather is more settled in March then it is in December.

I think the official season will be Autumn actually, based on the fact that the equinox will be on 20 March. In fact, daylight saving is due to end during the last match.
